Surrounded by family and friends, Holyoke's Nurse Aide Program graduates received certificates in ceremonies held on May 8. Class speaker Cawanna Newson-Sheppard thanked
Judie Seigiel "for encouraging us to press on no matter what our
outside lives brought about and for providing us with the tools we need
to find a job.
Thanking instructor Maryellen Ciocca, she said, "Every day you
planted the seed of motivation to help us grow and succeed. Now you
have helped us fulfill our potential." As part of their training, students worked at Wingate Healthcare in West Springfield. Also awarded were Home Health Aide and Alzheimer's certificates.
Graduating were: Iveliz Alvarado, Jeolitha Campbell, Shawntay Cruz,
Judy Edwards, Knisha Haynes, Erica Hernandez, Sara Herra, Marie-Ange
LaRoche, Daisy Lopez, Cheryl Padmore, Keila Santiago, Cawanna
Newson-Sheppard, and Sandra Vila.
