On
August 20, students of the new GREEN (Get Ready to Enhance the
Environment Now) Project presented the results of their work to some of
the TRA corporate staff.
With posters and
skits, they showed what they had learned about ecology issues. They
performed an original dance to the Green Anthem and the Go GREEN Rap
written by a student with the theme of "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle."
They also presented a plan TRA offices could use to "go green",
beginning with printing only when necessary - and double sided when
possible.
Afterward everyone walked to the Serenity community garden, where the students grew a plot of vegetables.
Students said the program was "eye-opening" and "fun."
