Worcester YouthBuild student Cynthia Rodriguez was among those
receiving awards at the 17th annual Worcester Area Teen Pregnancy and
Parenting Network Recognition Event on April 29. A mother of three, she
had been a participant in the Young Parents Program.

Instructor Kate Stromberg accompanied Cynthia and presented her award.
Cynthia's mother and two daughters also attended the event.
"Cynthia was a predestined success story," said Kate. "All she needed
was a little nudge in the right direction and a small boost in
confidence in herself. Cynthia has an iron will forged from life
experience and an indomitable spirit. Not only has she set the bar high
for herself, but she has the tools necessary to exceed these goals."
In addition to her work in the classroom, at the worksite and at
YouthBuild events, Cynthia also represented the YouthBuild program
during recent local radio and TV appearances.
