Training Resources of America, Inc. has an opening for a part-time ESOL instructor for our Workplace Education program. Responsibilities include providing English for Speakers of Other Languages instruction at a company worksite. Purpose is to enable students to improve their ability to understand, speak and write English. Participate in the development of curriculum as well as the design and implementation of individualized and group activities; conduct group ESL conversational classes and one-on-one tutorial sessions with students to facilitate learning; provides personal, academic and vocational counseling services to students to ensure program retention and achievement of individualized goals; and performs other duties.
Requires BA/BS degree and computer/software literacy. Massachusetts State Teacher Certification and 1-2 years’ experience as an instructor preferred. Bi-lingual capability a plus. This job requires the ability to relate/communicate with a diverse, multi-cultural population with varying needs/ issues. It also requires initiative, creativity and strong organizational skills/time management skills to cultivate and present the various curricula.
