Intake Specialist

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

 

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Regional Manager, organizes/coordinates recruitment activities to ensure sufficient numbers of enrollments to meet contract goals; provides intake and assessment services to determine appropriate placement of students in program; identifies education levels/needs, family circumstances, barriers to work, work history, basic and occupational skills, interests, aptitudes, goals, attitudes, motivation, behavior patterns, financial resources and needs, and supportive services needs; develops an Individual Service Plan or Employment Development Plan (EDP). The Intake Specialist/Case Manager will tour TRA’s facility with client, provide an overview of the program, and schedule client testing. The Specialist will utilize results of the testing to further enhance the client’s EDP and determine the most appropriate placement into TRA’s programs. The IS provides personal academic and vocational case management and referral services to clients to ensure successful program participation/completion and achievement of individualized goals. The IS is responsible for all site billing, data entry of client and program information, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:  BA/BS degree preferred; Associate Degree required, previous related experience and the ability to relate/communicate with a diverse, multi-cultural population with varying needs/issues; initiative, enthusiasm, creativity, strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to produce required results in students, as well as the ability to work as a team player required. Also requires excellent computer and data entry skills. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
