40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

 

SUMMARY:  Under the general supervision of the Regional Manager, responsible for job readiness training, application and resume preparation, Reading/Writing/Math at Work; and Basic Ed Skills, providing ABE, GED and ESOL instruction and vocational instruction. Will provide a variety of Work Readiness, Life and Customer Service skills that will enable clients to develop/increase their self-confidence, establish individualized work and life goals, and obtain knowledge that will help them be better prepared to enter the workplace. Responsible for client assessment and re-assessment; provides personal, academic and vocational counseling services to students to ensure program retention and achievement of individualized goals; responsible for maintaining participant education progress; focuses on workforce preparation, and performs other duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:  BA/BS degree and computer literacy required. -2 years experience as an instructor preferred. Bi-lingual capability a plus. This job requires the ability to relate/communicate with a diverse, multi-cultural population with varying needs/ issues. It also requires initiative, creativity and strong organizational skills to cultivate and present the various curricula. It requires flexibility and the ability to produce required results in students, as well as the ability to work closely with staff in a team approach to achieve overall program goals.
