TRA's diverse programming includes:
ACHIEVE! - Serves out-of-school youth between the ages of 16 and 21, assisting with Adult Basic Education/GED preparation and more.
Adult Basic Education/GED Prep - Meets the specific educational needs of adult students who have limited basic reading, language and math skills as well as those wishing to pursue a GED.
Automated Office Skills - Teaches Navigating Computers/General Office Equipment, Microsoft Office, Internet Basics, keyboarding, Office Procedures and more.
English for Speakers of Other Languages - Assists adult students who have limited English proficiency by meeting their specific educational needs.
Food Stamps - Provides eligible Food Stamp recipients with education and training services leading to increased education/skill levels, employment, and increased advancement/earning power.
Ithaka School Project - Provides a comprehensive youth training program for students between the ages of 14 and 19 who attend Ithaka School.
Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide/CPR Training - offers classroom, lab and clinical training to prepare low income students for the Massachusetts Certification for Nurse Aides, as well as home health aide care and CPR certification.
Office Careers - Provides a combination of training in office/customer service, job readiness and introduction to computers.
Fatherhood - Provides a variety of employment and training services to non-custodial parents enabling them to secure employment and meet financial/family obligations.
Skills for Life - A collaborative venture between Saint-Gobain Corporations, Training Resources of America, Inc. and participating school districts. The program is designed to target intermediary and high school students who are defined as “at risk” of dropping out of school. Skills for Life features TRA’s individualized, self-paced, open-entry/open exit, competency-based basic skills instructional system.
Supported Work - Transitions participants to permanent, unsubsidized employment through "on-the-job" training at a company worksite.
Work Employment - assists TAFDC recipients in finding employment leading to self-sufficiency through various training.
Workplace Literacy - provides customized Adult Basic Education (ABE) and/or English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at an employer's worksite.
Young Parents - Offers pregnant and parenting out-of-school youth, aged 14-21, who have not achieved a high school diploma with a variety of educational and life skills training.
YouthBuild - Provides low-income, out-of-school youth, aged 16-24 with on-the-job, hands on construction skills training and GED preparation.
