Supported Work

Supported Work is designed to transition participants to permanent, unsubsidized employment through "on-the-job" training at a company worksite. Supported Work provides for gradually increasing responsibilities and close supervision in a supportive work environment. The ultimate goals of the program are to increase empowerment of participants and lead them to economic self-sufficiency. To this end, participants receive a variety of employment support services including job readiness training workshops, job development, short-term skills training and remediation, vocational counseling, referral, on-the-job training and follow-up.
