On April 30, 2013 Brockton Mayor Linda Balzotti visited the TRA-Brockton office to meet with students enrolled in the Adult Basic Education Program funded by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Adult Basic Education (ABE) is designed to meet the specific educational needs of adult students who have limited basic reading, language and math skills and/or limited English proficiency. The ABE program provides instruction at all levels including Literacy, Pre-ASE (Adult Secondary Education) and ASE/GED Preparation. The GED program offers focused instruction to prepare students to pass all official GED tests including Language Arts Reading, Language Arts Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. GED practice tests are administered periodically to determine GED readiness.
