On Wednesday, February 26, 2020 Worcester YouthBuild students and staff toured Saint-Gobain Corporation (SGC) Abrasives and the Northborough Research & Development Center to learn more about manufacturing and innovation. Following a safety orientation in Worcester, students toured Plants 7 and 8 where they learned the difference between bonded abrasives and superabrasives.

Students then traveled to the Northborough Research & Development Center to learn about innovation at Saint-Gobain. The students were greeted by Saint-Gobain's North America representatives from Human Resources and the R&D director of competency research labs, Karen Conley. The students then toured the R&D Center where they were able to see a 3D printer in action. At the end, students were provided gifts before leaving.
