Salem ABE I students Kimlam Khor and Roohi Khan were among 100 winners of this year's 10th Annual Peace Poetry Contest, chosen from 900 entries. ABE I teacher Terry Hansen had submitted poems from the entire class.

Kimlam and Roohi received award certificates for their poems during a poetry presentation on April 26 at the Salem State College Recital Hall. Their poems are included in the Peace Poetry 2009 booklet.
